2019
Spread across two sun-soaked days in a poolside location in central Berlin, the first edition of Berlin Commercial introduced a festival format centred around openness, exchange, and contemporary visual culture. Bringing together filmmakers, agency creatives, directors, producers, and artists from across the industry, the programme combined screenings, panels, workshops, installations, VR experiences, and live conversations designed to lower the barriers between creative disciplines.
Across two stages and multiple screening areas, guests moved between talks featuring voices from Prettybird, TBWA, Matte Projects, DOJO, Okay Studio, The Fabricant, The Mill, and NDVD, alongside workshops in underwater cinematography, editing, and visual storytelling. With open-air screenings, music, and informal gatherings unfolding throughout the day and night, Berlin Commercial positioned itself less as a traditional industry conference and more as a cultural meeting point for the international creative community.
